AFAIK you cant although some online SMS services allow you to send through their portal

I knew it was a way but only at one provider out of three here in Bucharest, Romania so...i guess u should call and ask ur provider.

OR, if you want to send messages to someone, either bluejack them.. or buy another SIM card and use that to stay anonymous !

Telia, one of the swedish mobile phone network operators, provides the possibility to hide ones number when sending SMS messages by simply entering *HN# (where "HN" stands for "Hemligt Nummer" which is swedish for "Secret Number") before the SMS message text.

@Kwapster: Unless you are living in Sweden, this is of no use and limited value, at least for you.
