Ofcom have ruled that calling a mobile phone from a fixed line should be cheaper, around 30% reduction over the next 6 months, according to this this BBC article

I heard something to this effect about a 18months ago. Might have just been just a slap on the wrist. But we have seen a huge increase in tarrifs that include cross-network minutes but still no reduction for the payg This message was posted from a T610

wasn't the one 18 months ago or so to do with the cost of calling 'from' mobile phones rather than 'to' mobile phones?

Yes i think you might be right. Most contracts include free minutes though and i can't see contract prices dropping althoug they could be driven down if payg call prices drop by 30% This message was posted from a T610

Yeah but most of thie changes have been on contracts. Most prepay users pay up to £0.50 to call another network during peak time. This message was posted from a T610
