> Newbie. SIM Cloning. Many doubts
Bookmark topic
Hi everybody,I'm a Long time reader, first post!
I have a T610 and I have 2 SIM cards. A personal and a business SIM.
I've been reading old posts about Dual SIM's and SIM cloning but I still have many doubts.
Is it possible to have the 2 phone numbers ACTIVE on my phone?
Can any SIM be cloned?
Is it legal? (both SIM's are from the same company)
Thank you guys!

I havent used one but i think with the dual Sims you only use one at a time. You turn the phone off and then on again and it uses the other one Correct me if im wrong.

You can have dual SIMs but not actually having both of them ACTIVE. Have look cause there's a new gadget now where you don't need to make any adaptation in your phone. Still, you cannot have both SIMs active.

@
Lynx69: I think you are right. I haven't used one either, but as far as I know you can only use one of the SIM-cards at a time. If not, how would the phone know which one to use when calling?
And yes, normally you turn the phone off and then on again to activate the other SIM-card.

That's basically my advice too. The thing that matters really is:
Do you need to have too both of them on at the same time? (professional reasons, etc.) If so, use 2 phones.
You just use two cards due to network issues (i.e. calls price, etc.)? If so, then get the adapter...

@phelixxx
yes cloning a sim card is possible. in my country it costs about US$ 80 for the cloning device with an empty sim card. (you do need to hook it up to your pc)
i think its sometimes rather useful especially if you buy one of those Nokia car kit phone (the 3 watts that comes with a handset - about US$ 650 here) because then you can just switch off your mobile while you are in the car and simply use the car phone without having to transfer the sim. only one sim can be used at the same time though....
