Hey group,

I am in California and unfortunately we do not have the SE service center here. So, I am thinking to do the firmware upgrade from SE site via PC SUITE.

1. is this pretty straight forward? does it take about 30-40 minutes?
2. i checked system information on my phone.
for phone - R3C006
for CDA - R1A08
am i upgrading the phone or CDA version
3. from SE site, it says for R1A08 the next version would be say R2Axx. if i wish
to the latest R5? is it possible to skip R2 and go directly to R5 or do i need to
do this in sequence, like from R1 to R2 to R3... R5?
4. finally, i can not find the page where you enter your Version in SE anymore.
would someone please provide the URL for the SE site.

thanks much!!!

Residentevil,

thank you very much for you prompt reply.

now, would someone in the US or California please tell me how easy or straight forward to do the upgrade online?

specifically, has anyone encountered any problems??

is it possible to do a rollback to the previous version if there's anything that goes wrong for the update.

my CDA is 162003/13 .. has anyone tried the latest R5A update? any problem with that?
my current version is R3A07

I've done it, and it's simple and easy. Just follow the prompts. Make sure you disable the power on option that lets you select flight mode. I've done the upgrades twice without a hitch.

Also make sure you turn off all your firewalls options and have the phone fully charged.
