Happened to me also a few times on the P800 but now everything seems ok. It's been a long time since the last time it did that and i don't know what causes this problem.

Did you connect your phone through the cable to your computer?? if yes, this could be the problem. whenever i connect my phone to the com, my phone's time automaticly change. Maybe the time sync with the computer's time.

When I first got my 7650 the clock randomly jumped forward 10mins. Perhaps its a Symbian problem??

Yes there is an option which automatically synchronizes your phone's time with that of the computer's but i dont think that was the cause of the problem because while the computer's time was correct the phone's time was wrong.

this is probably cause u've got some languagepack installed (like default u have english and u've installed american) and selected in ur px00. thus when pc suite syncs time with ur px00 it 'corrects' ur gmt settings thinking u have a wron time setting in ur mobile.
for instance, u have a windows settings like gmt+3 and some language pack on ur px00 installed and selected and px00 kinda changes the time setting from gmt+3 which was selected by u to gmt+2! and after the sync with pc ur px00 time is +1 hour... that's what happened to me anyway...

It happened to me a _lot_ on my P800, but after I got the P900 I haven't seen it. The LanguagePack idea does sound likely, but I know I had my phone set to GMT+1, the same as my comp.
