I am using Microsoft Outlook 2002, from Office XP with no more trouble at all. I kept getting an errors when sync. I tried re - installing Outlook, PC Suite (latest version), Office 97, and uninstalling them all in various orders to try and rectify, sometimes with luck, mostly without.
Ultimately the final fix was using Outlook - Help - Detect and Repair, follow prompts, you will need installation disks though. Works perfectly now.
another handy hint was turning keylock off, or disabling Norton protection if you're having trouble with sync.
Hope this helps someone because I had lots of anguish up until now.
