Virgin Mobile (UK) is going to launch MMS and GPRS within weeks!!!
Im sat at my desk now ( Virgin Mobile ) going through the training courses for the CSA's!!

to make the MMS set up extra easily for customers, there is going to be a wap configurator on our website for ALL handset types!!

In the next coup0le of weeks, VM customers with GPRS handsets will start to see the symbol on their screens, a G or blue triangle etc. it will be active then but not useable because we will be busily provisioning peoples sim identities with the GPRS ability!!

How exciting!!

Not wishing to put a damper on the happy situation, but couldn't they have done it years ago when all the other networks in the country did?!

I guess that's all you expect from a network who CHOSE to partner up with one2one... oh, sorry, T-Mobile

no chance it will be free, but it's 0.5p/kb. thats about half what orange charge i believe.

theres a problem with picture messageing though! its priced at 30p for one message upto 100kb, but... as Tmob are bastards and charge Vmob 35p each time, customers have to have 35p on there phones to use Gprs, send a pic and also RECEIVE a pic!!

hopefully this will change in time!
