> TH55 form factor for the P1000?
Bookmark topic
Just bought a Clie TH55 so that I can keep a slice of Clie history as Sony will no longer make Clies for Europe & USA. Now this is a wonderful machine with a 320x480 screen, WiFi and BT. All for UKP260! Now adding a GSM phone to this surely wouldn't raise the cost much above UKP500 - similar to a P900. Now I think the TH55 form factor, WiFi and SE's UIQ2/3 s/w would make and awesome combination. Have a look the link below, the TH55 is much smaller than you'd expect (note: I would expect to use a BT headset all the time for a Smartphone of this design).

One more thing, this baby uses full size MS Pro - 1GB capacity!

Weight is 185 grams, but does not feel that heavy. It really feels like a quality device when you hold it. Also, unlike other large screen PDAs, e.g. PPC, the battery life is very very good. It has a hardware/software system that adjusts the processor speed depending on the task and this helps to increase battery life.

downsys
Have a look
here - it is a dicussion forum on the TH55 and this thread is about syncing with Apple computers. Looks like with BT additional sync s/w may not be needed. Also, if you are interested make sure you get the non-US version of the TH55 as this has BT but does not come with a free version 6 of Documents to Go (worth about $40).
