NTT DoCoMo Inc. achieved a maximum downstream data 300Mb per second for the new 4G (fourth generation) mobile broadband phones, with an average rate of 135M bps.
It was only a test in an ideal setting when the data rate was achieved during a field experiment in a car running at a speed of 30 kilometers per hour at distances between 800 meters and 1 kilometer from 4G wireless base stations.
Puts 3G in its place. Damn that fast. I thought they hadnt even agree bandwidth yet tho?
