> P900 - charge never reach 100%
Bookmark topic
Hi there,
I'm new on this board. Just want to know is my battery problem or my charging method is wrong. I'm a "50-50" and sometimes heavily use my p900. It can goes until 2 or 3 days of usage.
When my battery reach 25%-10% i will charge my unit till it get full. So when the indicator battery shown full and the green light is off, and i tab at the battery indicator and it shown 99%. I waited 1-2 hours more and still the battery shown 99%.
So what's wrong with it? izzit my battery problem or my charging method is wrong? do i need to drain until reach 0% then charge it?
pls advise.
cheers,

no theres no problem with your battery or the way your charging, my phone does the same its just because as u charge your battery your phone is still on and it uses 1% of battery power while doing that. Sometimes u do get lucky and it shows 100% but i really wouldnt worry about it, if it shows 99% then thats full.
also welcome to esato

The battery indicator on my P900 sometimes displays 100% charge, but that almost immediately drops to 99% when I stop charging it. As was said above, this isn't a major problem and isn't something you should worry about.
I would say to you, however, to wait until your battery is at less than 10% to charge it again; ideally you should be completely draining your battery before charging it.

you think you got it tough?
my battery indicator always says it empty - ALWAYS 0%
except when i just take it off charge - then it says its 100%. up until i turn it off on on again, then it says 0%
i just need a fw update but i cant be bothered. the battery still lasts the same amount of time - but sometimes a flat battery can catch me unawares.

Since I have done the firmware update it says 100% when connected and still indicates a 100% for a few minutes before it goes down to 99% and so on. Before the update it only used to say a 100% when the phone was connected to the charger and as soon as I disconnected it from the charger the battery level indicator went down to 99%.

Going to 99% automatically is exactly what it should do, even though mine used to get 100% for several minutes after charge. However, as soon as the charger is taken away, it is technically immposible to be at 100%, as the phone is on, and that takes power, and even the smallest amount of power taken at that time, it is not 100%.

I guess it all depends on calculation method used in FW. The difference between 100% and 99% can hardly be measured!

My P900 charges up to 100%.
Actually, there is no point to worry as for most people the battery doesn't last for more than 48 hours. That means 1% is 28,8 minutes, damn, 1 % is more than I thought......no wonder some of you guys worry

In theory it should never show 100% as that means the battery has full power. The second you stop charging your phone and start running it on batteries power is used and therefore the phone does not have 100% power but 99.9% and so on.
