Though the brandname is not famous still, the Asian-market-oriented Geo Mobile is aggressively releasing new models in Hong Kong. The latest one is Geo GC688. Its wide screen and slider keypad design, which is alike the outlook of Siemens's SL55, is a breakthrough when compared with Geo's previous models.

The screen size of GC688 is even bigger than that of SL55. This TFT 65K multi-colour display is of 1.8inch wide, at a resolution of 128 x 160, which have a better performance is displaying photos. Siemens SL55 supports plugging in external camera, while GC688 offers a 300K pixels built-in camera with flash locating at the back of the phone, which can provide 4x digital zoom, 5 consecutive multi-shots and more other functions. After shooting, users can also set the photos to be caller display pictures, animations, shut-down or boot animations, and screensavers. International roaming users can even get more advantages out from GC688. Geo is another manufacturer, other than Motorola, to implement GSM 4-band technology, offering users with a better and wider GSM network.
