I have recently purchased a Sony 128Mb stick to replace the standard 32Mb stick sold with the P900, but when I insert it the P900 freezes and I cannot do anything. I inserted with the P900 switched off but after a few commends again the P900 feezes. Any ideas please?

Hmmmm, I think, it maybe due to the fact that the memory stick is getting formatted so that the P900 can use it. Try giving it a few minutes and see what happens.

I had no probs with mine and i have just done the same thing about 2 weeks ago.
I formatted mine once it was in the phone with the manual format command.
I wonder if you had something on the 32mb stick that the phone is looking for, maybe some installed software?
anywho, hope you get it sorted.

Tried again and failed to format through Control Panel BUT formatted successfully through FILE Manager/Format disk/Document and no failures yet folks!

When I upgraded to a 128MB Duo, I put in the card and restored a backup of my original 16MB card. There were no freezes etc. So I dont think the phone tried to format or access the card until I instructed it to do a restore
