I keep reading about an update for the P900 in various threads.

What is this update and do I need to update mine as I got it a couple of months ago???

I guess u mean the firmware upgrades. You can do it yourself on the P900 over the internet on ur PC.
It's not essential just that new firmwares may fix and improve a few things, usually minor. As yours is fairly new you will have a good firmware anyway so don't worry about it but it's always worth keepin up to date

if an update is available, it will usually fix bugs in the firmware (or software) that controls the phones operation etc

just goto the following link and follow the instructions

Are there anywhere I can see what's been fixed in a firmwareupdate? I tried SE's site, but can't seem to find anything...

when you go through the procedures at the site I gave, after you enter your CDA you get a page telling you what the latest firmware is for your phone. On that page is a link to release notes although it seems they forgot to actually add the release notes for this release.

Have a read of the "New Firmware R5B02" thread for peoples comments on this new version
