> P900 silent mode - battery drain
Bookmark topic
I have recently got a P900 and have been very happy with the battery life - 3 days+ with moderate usage.
However, I turned on silent mode today, and the battery has drained from 90% to 20% in 6 hours, with only one (unanswered) call and 2 SMS sent!!
Has anyone else experienced this - searching the forum, I found a T610 owner with a similar problem, but not nearly as severe as this!

I use silent mode regularly and I've never noticed any difference with the battery life.
Also though I couldn't possibly get 3+ days out of it! How did u manage that?

That does seem rather paradoxical as one would expect that battery life should actually improve if no sounds have to be played. Surely the little 'silent mode' icon doesn't require that much power to display?:P

It has now completely run down - 90% to 0% in 10 hours, and with hardly any use.
I will test it again tomorrow.

If this continues whit this new mobile i suggest that you take it to service fairly soon man!
It should be the opposite when silent mode is turned on.
I save a lot of power.

try to put out MS from the phone, one installed program is acessing MS all the time, thats why the battery drain.. had that problem alot of times now, if without MS u have no problems, then reformat your p900 and MS and then reinstall all the apps...
still didnt found out what program is doing the battery drain, but i think its one game probably...

When i had the game wrapfighter, and played it a while. Then closed the flip. I noticed that it took about 90% of my battery in some hours. Very annoying.
Had to go into the task view and kill the proc every time i wanted to quit it. . hehe.
Just a notice.

Hi everyone
Same has just happened to me ... watched an hour of movie before going to sleep. Battery was now down to 74%. At 5am P900 bleeps to say low battery. Recharged it to full and it's lost only 4% in the following 5 hours or so?
BTW, I've bought a pile of batteries for movie watching off E-Bay ... the genuine SE ones come @ £5 plus packaging from Hong Kong sellers ... superb value.
BTW 2, some of the 3rd party battery maufacturers make batteries that don't seem to work well, or even at all with the battery level indicator in the P8/900s. I have 2 of them .... use them for watching vids and change when run out. The indicator does show a full charge after charging but after unplugging the charger no more indicator guidance.

i think the number of running aps has a lot to do with battery drain - u cant really see what's running without a taskmanager :
see this topic for my ideas ( works well for me anyway though i've also gotten into the habbit of charging the phone each night - havent run out of juice yet though !!! )
