When i click on the applications tab on my p800 the screen comes up but it is blank, no options are shown whatsoever. I cannot even do a master reset, to get rid of the problem, as i cannot get to that option. I was wondering if anyone had a clean backup of a p800 that they could e-mail me so i can try and restore my phone with it. It is the only thing i can think of that will save it. Thanks in advance.

One simple possibility could be that ur on a different app folder to where all ur apps are.
Try pressing on the little arrow under the applist icon & select 'All'

Sorry if this sounds obvious to u but it's worth checking

im sorry my friend, i dont have a clean copy but i did have this problem too. today even. i was playing mib2 and then i decided to exit the game. as i did that i ended up like u, with the apps missing.blank. all i did was to turn the phone off and back on then everything should go back 2 normal. people usually miss this veeery easy solving by on/off. shoul it not work try, while on, pressing the power butt for around 10secs to perform a reset. better yet, dont immediatelly turn it on, but remove the batt for five mins. any of this should !! do the trick mate. good luck

s*** man!!! but how did it occ ur anyway? worked on mine. any of the options should have done it. well, dont u have a previous backup. im on wap gprs now and cant connect pc to net to send u my backup copy. sorry. itll take a while until i would, damn.

how about a trick. does the app menu allow u to change the shortcuts ontop of the screen? u know, the messages, contacts, ph, so on! if u can change them, instead of, lets say, calendar, put the ctrl panel link. maybe it will let u access it from there.

keep us posted on the resolution. good luck

I honestly don't know how it happened, it just sort of did. There is no way i can change the shortcuts as i cannot access any settings at all, i'm totally stuck.

damn! well, when it occured on mine, only the apps were missing, not the whole thing. or do u still see the taskbar and all?

what about a previous backup of yours?
got any?

if not, reset again and again. if u take the batt out too u erase temp memory, aka active ram. thats were the problem comes from,i guess. but,u have to reset and leave the ph with no current in it for some time. its like hard reset. once mine wouldnt boot for some reason and i did all mentioned above. nothing. it only boot when it crossed my mind to eject and remove the ms duo. it worked but still asked me to format the damn thing.

try removing the memory stick and see what happens, k?

keep me posted!

Everthing else works I can view all the other tabs: Messages, Contacts, Phone, Calender and Internet. It's just the applications one that does not work. When i press it you can still see the tabs at the top and the bar across the bottom (the part with signal strength, the clock etc) but everything else is just white, it is a blank screen.
