Logic tells me that any game written to run on the Symbian operating systems should run on any device running that OS. Am I correct in my assumption? Or do the different phones have different architectures that mean you can only run games on them that are developed specificaly for that device? I am getting confused as looking at Handango UK games section there are many games but they seem to specify individual devices. bit long winded but I need to know

Symbian is the OS, and although at some fundamental level the varients may all be the same, different manufacturers put different UI's (User Interfaces) on top of the main OS which makes interoperability of software a No No I am afraid. There are also differences in hardware (screen size and processor, etc) which would make it hard for the same program to work on multiple platforms.
