Hi there,
I bought my P900 last November in Taipei and it seems that SE doesn't have any firmware update for my version. Here's the info for my phone:
Phone:
CXC162022 R3A04
Bluetooth:
CXC12529 R5D
Organiser:
CXC162021 R1A05
CDA:
CDA162004/14 R2B01
It seems that the Taiwanese firmware has gone up to R5XXXX on the organiser and I don't know why SE doesn't have an update for my version of P900. Or is there something that I don't know?
I am rather annoyed about the SMS system that I am currently having. I have around 300sms in my inbox and everything when i scroll down to the one that i need to see, it will go back to the beginning of the sms messages when i go back to the inbox. Anyone knows how to make it stay at the same position when i go back to inbox? for example, when i am reading sms 65, and when i go back, the scroll will stay at the sms 65, not the last sms.
Please help, thanks.
Shan

I have recently bought my P900 from Singapore.
and notice the same problem as while i was updating the firmware
via the SE offical website. It inform me that my operator do not
support the service. Luckily for the operator that i didn't call to
complain them as i knew it was the SE...
Anyway i call and visited SE and got the answer that the P900 of mine
is a chinese version system board and need a specific firmware for it.
But strangely they told me that the firmware which i have (R1)
is fully updated althought it is (R1) like in the chinese version kind of
way. Anyway try checking with your locate SE service center.
I try changing the phone at the origin place where i bought it. But
couldn't as all phone are chinese...
But I am happy with my SE-P900 as it had additional chinese dictionary
to mess around with... hehehehe...

dun be fool by some of the SE support.
current update for english / Chinese version is R5A.
You can do the update yourself too, dun even need to go down to the se support.

Do an Sutomatic update as opposed to manual verification. It worked for me.
