Howdy! Does anybody have a suggestion about a cell-phone brand which really are compatible with win xp.
I wont to sync it with my calenderīn stuff trough infrared. Iīve tried to sync severel times now with my z600 and tried absolute everything possible, thatīs for sure, but it just isnīt compatibe with my pc, so now iīll be looking around for something else which are.
Iīve been using Ericsson ever since my s868 (many years ago), so this wont be easy:-))
What iīm looking for must be in the same class as the SE Z600. Samsung has allright phones, but a great lack of functions such as E-mails, and BT, as far as i know.

Please post me if youīve got a good advice for what to be looking out for in this jungle of cellphones.

I'd personally get a K700 or a T637, but if you don't want a SONY Ericsson, get a Motorola V600. This message was posted from a T616

Motorola was exactly wat i came to think about. Yeah, think that one could solve the problems for me:-)
Well, if my z600 would work with my pc software, there would be no way that i left SE. SEīs for mac, and maybe older win but never xp. Iīd highly recommend people buying a mac pc if they love their SE;)
Iīm going to check out the V600 right now. Thanks:)

Oh, I forgot to mention the Motorola MPx200 or the Treo (can't remember the model number). Those are PDA phones, so they should sync just fine with a computer. This message was posted from a T616

@aquila-have you considered downloading Float's Mobile Agent(FMA)? It's windows software that syncs with your phone (contacts, ringtones, pics, etc.)

it may not sync with outlook and lotus etc, but its worth a try if you havent tried it yet.

download it from www.myt610.net downloads section (windows software)

Ok. I think i prefer to follow your latest advice about the syncware before i do anything else. Me and SE phones are after all in a kind of symbiotic relationship after so many years:-) Iīve would love to continue to use SE if i get things to work.
T610 and the Z600 are allmost the same phones despite of the difference in hardware, so i think your advice should work for me. Iīll back for a report if it works:-)
Thank so much

They are in the subfolder of program files/fma. What's the sync problem? Eric r520 syncs alright! This message was posted from a R520

Well, it turned out to be that i forgot to set the modem speed to 115.200 kbs pr. sec. Every big problem usually has itīs simple solutions thankfully:-)
I contacted SE so now everythings on the right pat again. My Z600 are working perfectly well now, and i donīt have to leave SE. To use another phone brand could easily turn out to be a nightmare for me, but it would be cheaper than replacing the pc of course. SE is the natural choice for us norsemen;-)
