What the... what is this? What's the difference between T68mc T68m? And what's the difference between T68ie and T68i?
I thought that all T68m has the same hardware all over the world, and the only difference is software language version. From this picture below, you can clearly see the "T68m MMS AsianLatin2", which is the chinese version of the MMS software.
This is a picture of the program used at service points to download new software of mobile phone.

Guys, the hardware is the SAME! So the only difference is the software. I once called the Ericsson helpdesk in Sweden, wondering if there's a way to upgrade my phone to chinese software. That guy went to EMMAII and downloaded AsianLatin2 on his own phone to test. 1 hour later, he called back and said that he now has chinese on his phone. Guess that makes his phone T68mc.
Anyway... the point is, if he can do it that way, then of course you can turn a T68mc to plain T68m with european software. You just simply download the right software. The staff of the service points probably sucks and doesn't know about this.

By the way, don't always trust what you hear from the helpdesk people. I once wrote an e-mail to Ericsson help desk about the upgrade I mentioned on the previous post, and they didn't even know what AsianLatin2 was. Two weaks later, I got the answer that the current software available was "R2A" O_o
I was asking about software language, and they answered about software version. Competent staff, I would say.
