I deleted the standard alarm sounds, such as "blue.mp3" because they popped up in UltraMP3, and it drove me crazy whenever they were automatically played. But ever since that, my phone has stopped vibrating on incoming calls and messages, even though vibrating is turned on in the settings. Can anyone post these files, and tell me where to put them? I got a lot of annoyed friends now that i cannot feel them call. :

If anyone could be so kind to just let me know what the files are called, i might be able to recreate a working system. As far as i remember, the files were in c:media filesalarm (or perhaps i am mistaking here), i know one file was called blue.mp3. If anyone can take a quick check, tell me what the files should be called and where to put them, i might revive my social network again.

Hi!

I spent a few minutes to "surf" the filssystem.

This is what I found:

C:\system\data\defaultsounds contained standard SE sounds. MP3 & mid but none named blue.mp3.

C:\system\media contained no sound files.

thats all I found.

Excellent! Never mind the blue.mp3, the folder and files you mention must be the right one! could you or someone else please be so kind to send me these files, either as posts on this forum, or to me by mail? It's daniel 'at' skarv.net ... I am surprised i deleted those files, i remember doing with a fear that the phone might not even boot up... it's a lousy defense, but i was far from sober at the time. :

I hate to nag, but i could really need those files. I'd hate to install
the OS again, and reinstall and reconfigure everything. If anyone could help me out, i would be most thankful.

When it comes to copying system files to the pc, the routine i've had to use has been this:
1. Using a filemanager on the p900 that shows the system files (such as FileMan), copy the folder to the "media files" folder, on the memory stick, or the internal memory.
2. Using Explorer (if you are an Windows user), copy this folder from the media files folder to a folder on your computer.
3. Compress the folder to a file (such as .zip), and send it to me.
4. You'll have my eternal gratitude.

Thanks, dvdgremlin! Comparing with the files you sent me, i found out that i allready had these files... So it was a big help to me; if i hadn't had these files to compare with, i would have given up and reinstalled everything. But i've found another solution, i have just installed symbianwave's magic profiles, (which seems like an essential program already), and it has brought back the good vibrations.
