I was under the impression that the S700 would be released nearer to Xmas, but I was looking round on a few sites (inc e2save.com) and it has a June/July release date on these sites.

Has anyone got a UK release date for this and which is the better phone out of that and the K700, which in general consensus is due to be released in the UK at the end of this month.

nobody ever has a release date for sony ericsson phones, or ´most other manufacturers phones for that matter. I didn't know last Tuesday that on the next day I would be able to order and get a K700. As I have said repeatedly, we only know when a phone is available when someone actually buys one in a shop or online and reports it here.

have said Q4 for the S700 and I see no reason to doubt that based on past performance

as for comparing the S700 and K700, I guess we have to do it sometime so you can start by looking at this Esato comparison table

edit: although it looks like the K700 details might need a little updating there
