I can connect with the computer through the phone, but cant actually use the connection. When I ping servers I get no response, but I can se the ip to the server. What to do? This message was posted from a T68i

All u need to do is put 193.113.200.195 & port 8080 in proxy settings, go to lnternet properties, connections advanced then put it in.

Thanks titus, my connection works now, I can load pages etc, but when I try to log in somewhere, (hotmail for instance) I always get timeouts or this wap-formatted message:
Sorry
Not allowed
(Status Code: 403)

I also got problems connecting to ftp:s, icq and msn.
Can I do something about it? Get around the blocks etc?

That's the only problem with using the proxy. I noticed IE 5 let me log into yahoo, ot much else though.

One solution is to disable proxies and use dial up(915000) then go to the site you want to log into, tick store cookies when you log in. Obviously this cost 10p a minute. Then disconnect, enable proxies and connect using GPRS again, you should be able to go straight in as the cookie is now on the PC.

Only problem is with sites that require regular log ins.

Rather than using the 915 number at 10p per minute you can use a free ISP to dialup using 0845 numbers if you have a pay monthly account and the calls are included in the 'free' monthly minutes - not with Pay as you Go though. I use 0845 662 1409 with any username and password as you can see from my sig.

You don't need to use a proxy or set anything else but remember that it's only 9600 bps so it's a bit slow for web browsing - fine for email.

One way of using up those spare minutes at the end of the month lol
