Hey guys,

I know this is for the UK, not sure about other countries, I was on the phone to voda and they told me that they have upgraded they gateways, and now for some reasons whenever a user trys to send an MMS, it gets to 94%-96% and it comes up with "unable to to send" message, the message then gets put into the outbox. The message is still sent though. It is a problem that SE and voda know about and they are trying to sort it out. Thought you would like to know, that although it does not look like it is being sent, it is and you are still being charged for it

I had a problem on my P800 yesterday. It was sat on my desk at work, and at 14:58 it received a MMS message (which I didn't view immediately) - it was from Vodafone Live! advertising 'Russell Grant's Astrology' ..

Also at 14:58 my phone decided to dial the Vodafone WAP Gateway (also the MMS gateway number) all by itself and after 36 seconds I glanced down at my phone on the desk and saw that it was in the middle of a call! I ended it immediately and then saw the MMS from Vodafone.

I called Vodafone Customer Support and they denied all knowledge of the MMS message saying it had been sent by a third party company, even though it had 'Vodafone Live!' plastered all over it, then the support guy said something about a gateway upgrade having taken place.

Because their billing systems are 48 hours out of date, he suggested I phone back on Friday to complain about the WAP call and to hopefully get a refund on it (well , OK it was on my 'free minutes' but if I hadn't seen it then god only knows how long it would have been dialled up!! It's the principle of it...)

Totally bizarre though and I'm quite annoyed about it!

Did this happen to anyone else?

cheers
