Can 3G handsets like Z1010 be unlocked for all networks? I was looking to buy my 3rd SE phone today and the shop owner told me 3G handsets can only be used on 3 networks, but I have seen ppl using any sim cards on 3G handset like Z1010.

Its kinda confussing what you asking but I have a rough idea. First things first, the networks like all networks be it 2g or 3g normally lock the handset so they only work with there network. Depending on the phone model and how early the release is you can find somewhere that is willing to unlock it. With 3g phones it no different from 2g with the unlocking process. I used my Z1010 on a 2G network but it had many flaws in it, READ THE OFFICIAL Z1010 THREAD. Because the Z1010 works on 2G AND 3G you will be able to use it but with a bit of problems hopefully that will be sorted out on the next firmware update.
Hope thats helped you out.
