> Being able to see "Sent PM's" ( @laffen )
Bookmark topic
One feature that i miss in PM managing is being able to see what messages have i sent.
I think it wouldn't be very difficult to implement this and it would be very usefull, because replies arrive and i can't remember of what they're related to.
Anyone agrees with me?

I got your point, but i dont think that its important. There is the quote reply if it is. Or do u send so many pms?

I'd say that's a great idea.
I'd also think it would be nice if that 'sent items' foldfer would self delete after a while (maybe a month?) as I have enough trouble keeping my inbox empty as it is, don't need more of that

I know it's not that important. I said it would be useful.
And i can't force the guy who replies to me to quote me, now can i?
It's just a matter of adding a field to the PM's table (user who sent), and create a new query to get the sent PM's.
[EDIT]
If i'm right there would be no PM replication. No need to "expire" them.

But I tend to save only the ones that matter, ie unsolved issues or important info. The rest gets binned whenever I have some time and energy to do it. the last thing i want is 20 odd pages of PM's that I have sent to others, that won't help me to find the one that is still an 'outstanding issue'
Same as with my inbox, basically.
If I get what you're saying right, i cannot delete them as their not technically 'mine' but i'd have access to them.... thus resulting in a LARGE outbox of stuff about 90% of which I won't need... right?
The thought has just lost some of it's shine

@
Krubach: I agree with you. And, as a matter of fact, I sent a PM to
laffen the other day, requesting the very same functionality. But, no answer, yet...
However, I think it's important to be able to delete the sent PMs that you don't care about anymore.

I quite agree with that of @krubach's idea, though I think that it will only directly apply to members who sent/receive pms more often! For sure, this added feature will best suit mods 'inboxes' ! Specially that of @masseur's! I remember him having said back there that he's quite busy resolving some issues here at esato's with 9 pages long of pms coming from our co-members. I totally agree with that of @vlammetje, pms read should 'automatically' be erased once viewed!

This is a very good idea, but functionality would need to be like an email outbox which keeps a copy of sent messages.
I would also like the ability to select multiple pm's for deletion, and also a 'delete all' function (please).

I think you will accept that there are vast numbers of 'normal' members who use PM rather often as well
I'm with gelfen on the 'delete all' or at leats the possibility to select 10 or 20 at one time and delete them at one go. Like I've said before, the way it is now, one might end up having to delete some 20 to 40 PAGES of PM's in one go and believe me when I tell you that there are better ways to spend ones time
