> Help - AT&T service + Cingular phone?
Bookmark topic
Hello,
I just bought an eBay T68i that was on the Cingular network. My plan is currently on AT&T. I was told by someone else on this forums that my service on a Cingular phone would work. But the phone is asking for a "correct SIM card". Am I screwed?
Thanks,

No, you're not screwed. You just bought a locked phone. Carriers do this so you can't use their phones on other carriers' networks. If you want to know how to unlock your phone, go to ''http://www.forumer.com/cpmc''. Make sure you join as the menu won't appear except to members. Look around, and you'll find how to unlock your phone.

I read somewhere that Cingular will give you the unlock codes if your contract is up. Mabye if the sellers contract is up they can call cingular and give you the unlock codes.

You might. It all depends on the rep that you get.
