Hi everyone.

Becaused it is very scratched (keys + phone in the same pocket... definitely not a good idea) I need to replace the whole housing of my T610 (I know it will avoid warranty). This includes front, rear AND middle.

For front/rear this is not a problem I know how and already succeeded but for the middle part... I have no idea how hard this will be because this is where all the components are so I would have to dismantle the whole stuff.

Did someone already replace the middle part? I saw some websites with pictures but they only explain how to change front/rear not middle.

Any kind of help would be appreciated.

TIA

It would also be interesting to know if u could use a T630 middle as they have a much nicer shiney finish on them.

Actually I think it will be possible to remove the board inside pretty easily. Maybe I will have to remove the screen and the keyboard before in order to have a better look. The camera at the other side shouldn't be hard to remove either. I'll let you know. I'm still waiting for my new housing. Would also be great to know if it's possible to replace the screen (sucks in the sunlight) by a T630 screen. I will do some research.

When you open it, you can just take the 'guts' off the t610 right off it. Then you pull out the speaker, vibrator and backup battery(small black circle) with a tweezer and just place them in the new housing.

Some hints. I advise you not to touch any chips. Just hold the edges of the board. Some parts like the speaker may be loose on the housing. Line their contactswith the contacts on the board. Also use the right screws at the right holes. Some screws are longer than others. And last but not least use a good quality screw driver or else you will destroy the screws. Any help just pm me.
