Computer not registering phone but says its connected this is using the station that is provided with the phone (connected to the computer via USB)

had this problem on my laptop for ages now no one has given me an answer yet that works.it cant be the phone because it works fine on my pc yet both have exactly the same os and the same version of the sony link software.i have a hardware firwall not software so that cant be it and i have uninstalled installed and updated more times than i can remember
someone at ericsson needs to sort this out geting p***** of

1. take out usb
2. uninstall software
3. reboot
4. plug in usb device
5. reinstall software.

worked for me, good luck.

yea i unininstalled connected the cradle directly (instead of usb hub) and reinstalled.

seems to work fine now.

Its always best to install the software first, THEN plug the device in, unless it says otherwise
