i am having trouble connecting a p800 to the cingular network. when i power on the phone it will not connect to any network leaving me with "no network" does anyone know how to fix this connection problem

Well a P800 runs on 900/1800/1900 Mhz. While cingular has mostly a 850/1800/1900 Mhz network. The 850 is overlayed with the 1900 Mhz band. However, the 850 is higher quality and reaches farther. You can still have a decent reception, but to maximize the use of your phone the only choice in the US is T-Mobile, which runs a 900/1800/1900 Mhz GSM network. So either go in a cingular store and you should have reception right there and check with the staff about your problem there or switch to T-Mobile.
