Hi everyone,
I always lock my phone with Keylock and Auto-keylock is turned on. When i unlock the phone however recently i have found a screen with lots of stars and often p's on it (e.g. **p*); sometimes these are dialled, and I do not know how this happens since the phone is locked, and they are definately not there when I lock the phone/
Does anyone have any ideas?
thanks,
Stuart

Yes I get that too, but these appear after the screen has been unlocked, as if I have just typed them in when I unlocked the phone.
Strange...

if you turn the keylock off manually then open the flip, then when you close the flip there is a timeout period before the keylock activates of around 20 seconds.
If during these 20 seconds the P900 is in your case or pocket, it is more thank likely that keyes are being punched.
I think thats where the stars and other characters are created

The only characters that the phone should allow whilst key-locked are 0,1,2 & 9 (which are common "emergency number" numbers).
I think
emitflesti's suggestion is probably the most likely.
Note too, that the "*" and "p" characters are located next to each other on the keypad, and are also the first to appear when pressing their relevant key. Seems like your phone is being bumped on it's lower-left corner whilst in your pocket prior to the automatic key-lock being set.
[Update]
Okay, ignore portions of that last paragraph. The "p" appears when holding down the "*" key... seems like your "*" is being bumped and sometimes held down - not the "7" key incurring the "p" as I first thought.
