Regardless of whether I pair in headset or handsfree mode, the headset icon is always on, even after the call has ended! This happens to my HBH-65 and Jabra 250. This hogs the bluetooth session and will not allow any other bluetooth device (e.g. PDA) to connect with the phone until the bluetooth session has been released by the headset.

Anyone with similiar experience with any bluetooth headset ?

My bluetooth headset is always connected as well. I have the motorola 810. Well this didn't happen with T630 and Z600 but it happened with T610. I suppose it drains the bettery faster but i don;t really have problem cause when i drive i have the headset near me and i just pop it on my ear when i have an incoming call.

unfortunately the t68 was the last fone with automatic bt feature next to on and off mode. therefor i use my headset only with the r520 ( it has auto mode aswell ), never with t630. its really weird, why new fones doesnt support this feature...

I actually like this feature with my K700i as now I actually get every call in the bt headset, before I missed like half the calls or something and had to connect manually (which not always worked) And whenever I need to connect phone to PC I just disconnect the headset in bluetooth options on phone. But I am a bit worried that this drains the battery of phone and headset very much..

oh yes, it drains pretty much. i tested it on r520, 50% less battery feature compared to auto mode.

I miss the auto BT connection from T68i, even though sometimes it failed to connect! Both my T630 and K700 stay connected to the headset (Bluetrek G2) too. And so did the Nokia 6600. It's not that big of a problem for me, though.

mine is connected while in range and disconnected while not in range, that would serve me well i think, while i am in the car its connected and i can use it but when i leave my car (and leave the BT headset in the car) the headset would disconnect while i walk away.

It would have been better for someone who carries the bt headset with them to be connected automatically while there is a call, however it does not seem to work like that.

It doesn't drain much battery, it is checked. It is almost the same feature if it was disconnected - just the channel is occupied. Actaully this feature is good for HBH users, but for me, cause I have 2 phones on one HBH - I always disconnect manually it when the call is made. I hope the next firmware will have some more options about it...
