Hi,
I received my SE K700 yesterday and I have been charging it for over 12 hours. The screen and keypad is still lit up and it says 'Charging' with the battery meter showing full green below it. Why is it taking so long? Is it overcharging? Should the screen and keypad stay lit up all the time it's charging. My display light settings are on power save mode.
Thanks in advance,
msandford

Its been said many times, as long as the battery indicator is full which means its fully charged ! The phone won't change to battery charged from battery charging ! Just like T610/T630.................................

@ msandford and tempsonyfreak: Go on your K700i to Settings -> Display -> Light and change the setting from 'Power Save' to 'Automatic'. Your screen and keypad won't be lit anymore during charging.

@the radical: You are wrong!
When I had R2A fw on my k700i,the light stayed on all the time ,doesn't metter 'power save' or 'automatic'(during charging,of course)
After I upgraded to R2L,the ligth is off after a few seconds I start charging it.
So,it has to do with FW!

@ mike_k7: But in my and many other people's case it worked ! And I never changed my firmware to R2L.

Weird that u have to set it and it doesnt turns off auto. It just makes the charging slower cos the batt needs to give power next to it the light aswell. This message was posted from a T630

Yeah, weird is that it is called 'Power Save' but is wasting power during charging...
