Not 6600, Nokia has edge phones 6220, 6200(north america), 6820, 6230 and more. Sony Ericsson has an edge pc card GC-83(800/1900/1800) available. This message was posted from a R520

Class of GPRS means configuration in timeslots:

For example:

2+1 is class 4

3+2, 3+1 is class 6

4+1 is class 8

4+2 is class 10

4+4 is class 12

First number stands for download, second for upload

One time slot is 14.4 kilobits/s I guess...

This is the same for EDGE but dunno the speed...

N7200 also has EDGE. EDGE faster than GPRS,especially 4 video sending. Network/Fones with EDGE usually called 3G, GPRS called 2.5G This message was posted from a T610

Yes... EDGE is faster, but itīs because of signal modulation and coding scheme: MCS1 - MCS9

Theoretically 236.6 kbps download, 118,4 kbps upload

@Atlis, That speed is for a multislot 4+2 EDGE terminal with MCS-9. This message was posted from a R520

Modulation Coding Scheme 9 in EDGE is like Coding Scheme 4 in GPRS (no error correction) hence in reality we are unlikely to ever see it.

Class 10 is max 4 downlink and 2 uplink but can only total 5 timeslots in a frame so it's really 4+1 or 3+2.
