I try to download things off the net but it dosnt work. They tell me to open the file with something else ? and a windwow pops up for me to select from.l Whats wrong? how do i transfer stuff to my phone ??

. It's contradictory by definition. Either you have an infrared connection or you have a cable connection.

Why would one like to have an infrared thingy connected to ones PC via a cable? Why not use an ordinary RS-232 (serial) or USB cable instead? What's the benefit(s) with the infrared thingy?
