Just visited both Colchester and Ipswich Vodafone UK shops and both said they have stock of the K700 phones... They are offering it to me for 50 pounds upgrade (I have 10 more days before my annual contract is due for renewal)...
Has anyone obtained a k700 from vodafone yet? I have a t610 from them and it wasn't unlocked - had to call them and pay (I think) 20 pounds to have it unlocked (I make frequent trips overseas and tend to use the local providers rather than voda UK)... the shop manager said it takes weeks for an unlock to occur but I can't remember it being that long - can anyone confirm this?
Also,
1. Does the vodafone k700 come with all the usual customised menus and crap?
2. Anyone knows if the k700 is unlocked (ie sim-free) already? (Previous r520 etc I had were unlocked but t610 wasn't)
Would appreciate any advice on this. I'd prefer to go with vodafone but I really need it unlocked or can get it unlocked quickly as my next trip overseas is in August!
