Hello all! Total nOOb here...just got my p900 a few days ago and am looking for the best things to put on my phone. I've had a look around the forums, but am still left with a couple questions.
1.) Does anybody use the diamant pack? It looks really cool, but am not sure if it's worth paying for.
2.) What's the big deal with sman? whay does everybody love it?...I mean what does it offer that doesn't come with the phone as standard....(i know it has a few more things..) It seems very popular and am just curious as to why.
any other noob advice would be appreciated!!:)
Oh...THIS FORUM ROCKS!!!!

What is this Diamant Pack? I've never heard of it.
SMan is soooo popular due to it's main function. That being the ability to close (flush) apps running in the background & hence freeing RAM, enabling the phone to run smoother & preserving all important battery life.
This is what it offers that the standard phone does not & SMan is about the best thing for this task, although I also use a great little app called 'X'
PS welcome to Esato

Not for flushing tasks.
Also Tracker is a rather large app & use a lot more RAM than SMan.

Well say you're using your phone & u go to contacts & make a call. Next u take a photo or two then go back to the app list again & then to pictures to move or rename them perhaps, then maybe to messages to send someone a picture. Then u play some music for a while & so on!
When switching between these, or any other, tasks the phone does not terminate them & so they continue to run in the background using RAM & battery. If u get short of RAM the phone will slow & may crash.
In the above situation u would have Contacts, Communicam, Pictures, Messages & Music Player running when they don't need to be.
Flushing with SMan will terminate all these apps & free up your RAM so improving phone & battery performance.
'X' can be used to terminate each app as u finish using it, much like closing a window on your PC with the Close/X button in the top right.
Hope that makes sense!

diamant looks like nothing much for the money. sman is great, free, small and useful.
pm if you want some sites that will let u download various software for p900. they are nothing to do with me but esato might not like me posting them on here.

Say, looking at the site from that link, it shows the XP skin having Microsoft Word and Excel?
I don't use Tracker so I've never seen this skin, so I've no idea how it actually looks.
Is that just part of the decoration? Or did it represent some quickoffice products (or similar) with these icons?
