i have just realized that sometimes when i charge my phone the backlight stays on and sometimes off.. someone said that it could damage the screen for the backlight to stay on all those hours so i am wondering if there is anyway i can make it turn off while charging... thanks

mine does that occasionally too, as did my T630 and T610. They are still working fine so I wouldn't be worried.
I have found that if you notice the light not going out sometimes taking it off charge and putting it back on again will cause the light to go out. sometimes the light goes out on its own after a period of time.
there are a couple of other threads this week on this subject but I have not read any other solutions yet

yea i am aware of the option in the "Profiles". i have it at "save mode" on the "Home" profile but sometimes it did still did it.. I tried doing something and it seems like it worked.. i just pressed random keys, thinking that it might make the screen react like it does when it is normally on.. the backlight went of after some seconds....!

By me in off mode charging the backlight disappears after 5 - 10 mins, in on mode after 30 sec. Do noticed it on t610 aswell, donnow why it works on this way.

Well, I tested it out. When you put it on power save the phone backlight lits during charge, the whole time. But if you put it in automatic then the backlight disappears in few seconds.

My k700's backlight dont go off, ever, when I recharge in power off-mode. I have tried to pull out cable and put in back in, but it doesnt help.

As @bob said too that this happens with 610/630 aswell...so I think not this is a cause to worry
