This might sound strange, but I would like to find out if there is some way of turning off the internet "pass through" from my PC.
My work has implemented a very strict policy that prevents use of Hotmail and MSN Messenger on company supplied laptops. I was getting around this by accessing both of these through my P900. This was ok until work stopped access to the ports and URLs required for these two services.
I would still like to be able to connect to the laptop via the cable connection so I can sync with outlook and use RemoteP900. What I would like to do though is use GPRS to access the internet, therefore bypassing the company security and regaining my access to MSN and Hotmail. Work pays for my GPRS account, so I'm not too worried yet by the higher usage costs associated with GPRS.
Can anyone tell me if this is possible? Are there any other ideas of how I can access my Hotmail and MSN Messenger without getting tripped up at the corporate gateway?
Cheers,
Garry
