> K700 on Orange & Menu options

Got my K700 today (T610 before) - what a fantastic phone.
People have said that you can assign shortcuts to the 4 cursor positions but pushing the cursor left or right does nothing. Up and down takes you on screen to choose between address book/call list, Meassages and Orange World.
Also right hand - button is permanently assigned to camera. Was the More button on the T610 which got you into key lock, silen, irda, bluetooth etc.
Is this setup peculiar to Orange ?
