Hi,

I saw a USB cable which plugs nicely into the base of my T200 and I was told the phone is supported. The cable is from YEKA and has FOR ERT39/68 written on the phone plug.

However, all the text on the package was in Chinese (which I can't read).

The CD contains two folders:
"SONY ERICSON" under which there seems to be some software for several phones (nothing for the T200).

"D:\YK-2332 DRIVER" with the following installer:
PL-2303 Driver Installer.exe.

I've tried installing the YK-2332 USB Driver and want to use some of the T200 software like the image editor and SET200PCModem_v1_25_7_12.zip.

I have no instructions though, and I have no idea how to verify if the USB connection works, or how to connect say the ImageEditor program to my usbcable/phone? Any suggestions appreciated.

Does anyone have this cable? Any idea on my chances of getting it to work with a T200?

Thanks for your time!

Thanks for the feedback. (yeah, stay away from chinese video cables and korean pci tv cards...lesson learned...twice)

It does sort of work. It just takes a really long time to connect to the phone.

I just got to send an Image to my T200!!! whooohooo! How utterly unimpressive:) I can barely make out the 32x32 pixels.

Now, the real goal of this was to syncronize/backup my contact list and calender with outlook. But XTNDConnect seems to fail when "Getting Status information from the phone".

Back to f'ing with my phone (which now has a tiny pixelated Muhammed Ali

arg, I'm not having much luck

Does anyone out there have a T200 that they can synchronize contacts/schedules with?

"XTNDConnect PC" seems to crap out halfway.

And "Floats Mobile Agent" connects by getting some phone info and serial number etc, but then it completely dies when I try to synchronize anything useful.

Just curious if I'm the only one dumb enough to try this or not??

try if it can detect other se or /// phones, if not, maybe your cable is defective

The text FOR ERT39/68 most certainly stands for the obvious: For use with Ericsson T39 and/or T68. But that's probably no news, is it?

I don't know if the SE T200 is compatible with the /// T39 and the /// T68, neither when it comes to cables nor synchronization.

I'm not sure, but I've been working on the assumption that the USB cable is the same for all phones(there is a single driver). It just mimicks a serial connection and I can easily connect to the phone with something like hyperterminal.

So I'm assuming this connection is fine. The problem is with any software out there on the net. I think none of it actually works with the t200 despite claims from websites such as www.sonyericssonsoftware.com etc.

I think its time for me to buy a new phone:)

@iman: It's a minor problem, but the link you provided in your previous post (http://www.sonyericssonsoftware.com) leads nowhere. The target web page doesn't exist.

That cable works for ALL SE phones since T39/R520 and newer.

You cannot sync contacts with T200. The phone does not support that function. However you can use FMA or SendFile to send contacts to your phone in vCard(.vcf) format. You can use Outlook Express to export contacts. Contacts sent from other SE phones are also in .vcf format.
