with some networks you can turn off the automatic answering service if you dont reply winthin a certain time - contact your provider and ask them how, this way it will ring till u answer or they hang up?

there is also a possibility that the caller has already dialed your number for a while, but you get your first ring many seconds later, because of network problems. Again talk to your provider.

You could try cancelling the divert on no reply and resetting it, using a time parameter in the USSD:
(Where @ = OK/Dial/Whatever you want to call it.)
Divert if no Reply (61)
All the incoming calls will be forwarded if not taken within a defined time. The USSD code is "61".
Forwarding: **61*DESTINATION_NUMBER# @
Activate: *61# @
Deactivate: #61# @
Delete: ##61# @
Check Status: *#61# @
In addition you can tell the network after which time the call should be diverted. Here the GSM specifications
define a time between 5 to 30 seconds:
Forwarding: **61*DESTINATION_NUMBER*DELAY# @
The DELAY time can be 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 seconds.
Out of interest, is your P900 customised to O2? Mine is and the organiser software's out of date. I'm trying to find someone in O2 to pester for newer firmware for CDA162004/7, but not having much luck.
