Who has a Z1010 If you have a Z1010 and two minutes to spare please help me out. I'm trying to find out how fast a Z1010 can run for our game...
* download this speed test:
http://www.infinitelives.tv/MMD/dist/mmd1-z1010-speedtest1.zip
* put the JAR on your phone
* run the game ("MayhemSpeedTest")
* select "run test" from the menu (it is the default option)
* let the game play itself as fast as it can for about 60 seconds
* post the "fps" number it reports.
I'm not trying to sell the game - its not even ready for Sony handsets yet. I'm just after the worst-case frames per second the handset is capable of. The first test of the Java MIDP2 version of the game ran at 7 frames a second which is rubbish . This version is Java MIDP1 and will hopefully be much faster.
I'd really appreciate if someone can spare the time to run the test. It should take only two minutes from download to results.

i think the game is running out of memory. oh well, thats another phone off the list.
*edit: actually, no, i just tried it again with debug settings and it still worked with reduced memory. how bizarre.

20 fps midp2 build.
30 fps midp1 i think
yeah - wow. if the 30 fps figure is valid then the k700 is way faster using java midp1 than a nokia 6600 or 3650. preeeetty cool.
