Is there any way you can speed up the transfer of files from the pc to the memory stick after drag and drop for both music and video files - cos it takes ages to transfer - is this the case for everyone or is there any software etc...... to speed the process up?

I don't think you can speed things up, but you can buy yourself a card reader/writer. The difference is huge.

it is a device that you plug into your pc. Then you take the card out of your phone. put it in the reader/writer, copy the data to the card, then put the card back in to your phone. As the device is purpose built for writing data to a card, it is a lot quicker then the phone.
(i think thats right

A little thingy that you connect to your computer via usb. On the other side there's room to put you MS Duo in (or any other card, depends on the kind you buy). And they aren't expensive.

So what speed does a card writer actually write to the card? The cable transfer speed is scandalous :/
