R5B02 / CDA 162003/8? I need US English, but the phone came with UK English.

having bought a phone for 40 grands in Indian currency, the least you expect is a valid response... is that asking for a lot?

What is the major difference that is essential to the phone? Will it just change the words known by the predictive text?

Just wondering then....if u don't know what it'll change, why are u bothering to find it?
I reckon it'll change some words the T9 text knows but u can teacn it anything u want anyway. Also perhaps a marginally different layout of the virtual keyboard cos I think US have a few differences to UK keyboards.

It is and will be allways like that for every big company, not only SE. They don't have the time to reply with technical details and would certainly not pay an engineer or technician to reply on mails ...

That's why we have SE service centers

UK and US English differ quite a bit actually, and I would imagine that if you lived in the US, it would be desirable to have a US English phone, and conversely, UK/UK English phone.

I would imagine that it would indeed affect the T9 dictionary, with words such as Color/Colour,Aluminum/Aluminium, etc. Presumably $ is substituted for £, and so on.

That thing in particular has nothing to do with phone language since you can change it. I have SIT, but p900 doesn't support slovene language. I don't think there can be much difference, at least not enough to be bothered with this.

Generally, this sounds silly to me. I can imagine difference between chineese and japaneese but UK/US? This message was posted from a Z600

Hmmm... The point of the whole post is to show every1 what kinda stuff can be expected if u look for something even this meagre...

That said, US and UK English differ a lot, esp in spellings of lotsa common words. and the main point why i want US English is to cehk out the differences
