Hey all,
I just got my SE K700i mobile phone. It's truly an awesome phone.
BUT, I have a rather big problem with it: I can't switch it on anymore icon_sad.gif .
It worked fine yesterday after fully charging it, but after I switched it off, it won't switch on. When I hook the phone to the adapter, the powerbutton becomes a red light. I was hoping it was due to recharging or something, but after a night on the adapter, it still doesn't switch on and the light is still red.
I tried removing the battery for about 30 minutes, then place it back in the phone, but this also didn't help.
I also removed the battery, hooked the phone to the adapter and noticed that the same red lights is on, again.
This could mean several things:
- Some kind of shortage in the phone > red lights turns on.
- The phone doesn't see the battery (logically, because there isn't one inserted), but it doesn't see a battery when it is inserted > Battery failure > red light turns on.
- Something else?
Does somebody have:
- The same experience as I have? Maybe with other SE models?
- And maybe even a solution for me?

I once saw a phone with a similar problem & it turned out to be because one of the buttons was stuck down (pressed) & so it didn't recognise pressing the power button.
Try all you buttons to be sure they are free. I know it sounds quite unlikely but it's worth a try!

always works in my Z600
everytime it gets errors like this.
Tell me if it works in K700.

I called my distributor and they suggested I send them the phone and they'd send a new one back...So I just posted the package. Hope the next one works without any problems.
