I brought my P800 unbranded and sim free, however I still get the T-Mobile logo on the screen along with the time & date. Is there any way of removeing both from the screen so I can use wallpapers without them getting in the way..

From what I remember from older posts
This probably cannot be done

Can it be done with a firmware update? I had my P800 sent away for an upgrade as it was playing up a bit and giving me the 'Triangle of Death' frequently. It originally had some Vodafone firmware on it that displayed the Vodafone animation on startup, and when the phone came back, this animation/customisation was gone (thank goodness!).

@Sammy_boy
You would still have your operator name and date. They would not have gone away.
Of course this can be done with a firmware update... but I guess no one has made such a firmware (at least not SE)

I've had the latest FW installed but the Network name has not gone away and there's no option to switch of the time or date display ether so Looks like i'll have to learn to live with it.

Oh I see... you mean the operator logo when you've got a signal etc.? Sorry, think I got my wires crossed, thought you meant a network's customisation/branding in a phone's firmware!

It's there for information, not as branding. Use a different sim and connect to a different service, and it'll show that name instead.. go out of signal and it'll show nothing, or "No network".. it's just trying to be helpful is all.
