This is the second P900 I have had and since updating both to the latest Firmware from the SE web site, I have been getting a problem with the phone part of the P900. This is what happens:
I go to make a call, and the usual blip (telling me its making the call) doesn't happen, and the line is dead. If I try to shutdown the device, it looks like it has shutdown, but the screen is still slightly lit, and the right hand flashing light stays flashing. I have to then hold down the off button for 10 seconds to reset the phone and re-start it for it to work again.
Its a nuisance as I can't tell if this has happened as there are no direct signs. It happens about 3 times a day, and anyone calling me gets diverted straight to voicemail. As soon as I re-start my phone, I get a rake of text messages and voice mail notification if anyone has left one.

Is this a common problem seen before? My firmware details are as follows:
Organiser: CXC162021 R3A06
CDA: CDA 162004/3 R4B01
The phone is on Orange in the UK

I don't quite know what to do next as there is no point in having a phone which has a huge list of really useful features but can't be relied on for receiving phone calls! Like I sid earlier, this is the second P900 I have had, the first was replaced by Orange for the same reason. I updayed the firmware as my Bluetooth headset doesn't work properly with the supplied firmware. Also, the problem occurs even with Bluetooth disabled.

Thanks in advance, Paul

I did! It was the latest firmware which caused the issue! R3A06

Anyone else got this problem? I got a replacement hand set from Orange and installed the firmware update and now have the same problem! Didn't realise it was the firmware initially!

I also have a few problems with my 1 1/2 month old P900 which I've listed here

My organiser firmware is R4B03

Am really considering throwing it and getting a new phone (again) as I'm starting to regret buying a P900.
