I'm interested to hear about people who use / dont use them.
Has anyone actually scratched their screen with the stylus?
I have just reluctantly ordered one of those martin fields things, reluctantly because I resent paying £10 for a piece of transparent plastic that might not make a bloody difference!!
I am mega paranoid about scratching the screen although my PDA screen is tip-top and I aint never used a screen protector on that.

I bought the Martin Fields Screen Protector. I found that it didn't affect the operation of the stylus too much, but it was really difficult to remove every last speck of dust off of the thing before applying it. So I could always notice the fact that there was someting covering the screen by the. air bubbles under it.I used it for about an hour then I chucked it.

Don't use one myself. Screen protectors (along with Flip phone cases) look fine indoors but look bloody crap when your outside as you can't see the screen for the bubbles. Don't bother.

Excellent! I bought a "BOXWAVE CLEARTOUCH FOR SONY ERICSSON P900".
It is damn hard to place on the P900. I had one before and a tiny little dustcorn made an ugly bump that disturbed me until I bought a new on.
I had an scratch that was saved by the protector.
I find the display more convenient to look at now when the protector is on. And I also find a bigger feeling when using the stylus to write etc.
Go for it, Try one out. they are cheap and easy to install/remove.
Hint: Polish the screen extremley well before placing. Any little tint dust particle will make it ugly.

I got one from Brando. It fits great on my P900. Easy cleaning (if it is dirty) and just stick it up again!

People who say they have put on a screen protecter without any dust under it are lying. Unless you are in a sterile dust free environment, there will ALWAYS be one or two tiny specks of dust on your screen.

I was using my phone for 2 months without any screen protector and nothing showed on my phone's display. But since one can never be to careful I bought a screen protector anyways.
one more question for those who have martin fields screen protector:
They say it's washable. How do you wash it and with what. And most importantly how do you dry it if at all cos there is no such cloth that wouldn't leave something behind.
