How hysterical is this. I have got a TDK Bluetooth USB Dongle working fine with my P900 at work. Using the TDK software I can run the SE Suite and connect happily to the phone over BT and run Remote p900 my favourite piece of software. So far so good.
I have just got a new Sony Vaio Laptop with a built in BT transmitter running the Sony Supplied BT software. Sony to sony right? Got to work hasnt it? You guessed it, nothing doing. Connect up the BT Serial port, and then sit back and watch the P900 Suite fail to find the phone. Will give it another go tonight. You could not make this stuff up. Sometimes it just beggars belief.

I've been using vaios for years and for the last year or so I've been using the Sony PCGA-BA1 bluetooth dongle with the supplied bluespace software which in theory gives the same as the built in BT that Sony supply on the TR1 and TR2 another other bluetooth vaio models.
It does work and I've used it with my P900 but in general I found it to be a poor implementation of bluetooth and just a couple of weeks ago I sold that and bought the Billionton with the widcomm software and drivers and that runs oh so much more smoothly and with loads of profiles that Sony just don't offer
While I can't really help you now because I set mine up a year ago (and 6 months ago with the P900) I can tell you to have patience and it does work

i have a PCG-Z1RSP Vaio with built in bluetooth and i have no problems with my P900. i must say though that i only use the bluetooth for file transfers and not to use the phone as a modem, never tried that.
