My alarm sound's volume is really low and I can barely hear it. The vibrating of the phone is louder. I have no idea how to turn it back up or how it got down. Can anyone let me know how to correct this?

nope two different ones, but i've tried changing the alarm sound too. There has to be a way to change it cause it used to be loud.

I guess the very practical solution to your problem here mate is to put your fone into your pajama/trouser/jeans et al, when you have the fone set to alarm
As you said, you just hate going to SE techs
Also, having mentioned that your fone's vibra is more felt/heard than that of your fone's alaram
